The novel Madhyavenalavadhiku tells the story of a secular love marriage. Female character Hita envisions an ideal life where men and women are equal, and tries to divorce due to differences in life concerning views. It is the first novel by the writer who believes that the social responsibility performed by literature, whether visible or invisible, is very important. In this novel she discusses the women’ issues and feminist moves. At the same time the novel poses questions of inequality due to religion and gender.
